OUR CAUSE//
Soho Parish Primary School
Soho Parish Primary is a school like no other. Founded in 1699 and located on Great Windmill Street in the heart of Soho, it is a small, creative, inclusive community where every child belongs and every child can shine.
For fifteen years, Soho Food Feast has proudly supported Soho Parish Primary School, funding playgrounds, healthy food and creative projects. Today, however, the school faces a serious challenge. With declining birth rates and families moving out of London, pupil numbers have dropped dramatically, 86 children are on roll compared to 180 six years ago. This has put the school’s funding and future at serious risk.
The good news is that Soho has an extraordinary community! Restaurants are coming together again for our 15th year.
When you support Soho Food Feast, you’re not just enjoying incredible food, you’re championing a 300-year-old part of Soho’s heritage!
OUR HISTORY//
Soho Food Feast was set up by Margot Henderson, of Rochelle Canteen and St. John restaurants, and Anita Moir, then the school's catering manager (both were school parents), alongside other valued members of the Soho community, such as Lesley Lewis of the French House, Carolyn Dawson of the Union and Hilary Heath.
The first event took place 17 years ago (We had a two year break during covid times) and has since grown from a school fete style gathering, to a large weekend extravaganza of exciting restaurants, chefs, bars, raffle and entertainment. Not forgetting the infamous vegetable sculpture competition for the kids!
